The Cold Lake Ambulance Society (C.L.A.S.), founded in 1975, is a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors.

The Society utilizes it's well trained, experienced staff to respond to emergencies providing patient and employee safety and are committed to giving back in the community we serve. The Cold Lake Ambulance Society continually strives to embody the mission and values of our organization.

Cold Lake Ambulance Society staff members and Board of Directors take great pride in the many advancements made over the years as it relates to equipment, training and level of service.

Under contract to Alberta Health Services, the Cold Lake Ambulance Society provides a 24-hour Advanced Life Support/Basic Life Support (ALS/BLS) service with 3 fully staffed Ambulances which respond to both urban and rural emergencies within the region.

As a pre-hospital care professional, you will be a patient advocate who will effectively communicate and interact with community partners and allied health care professionals to ensure safe and proficient patient care and transportation.

To fulfill your responsibilities, you will safely operate emergency vehicles, respond to medical and traumatic emergencies, and adhere to professional standards, medical control guidelines, standard operating guidelines, polices and directives.

Qualifications:
• Unrestricted, Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP)
• Must possess and maintain a unrestricted valid Class 4 Driver's License.
• Must provide a current Driver Abstract prior to the first date of hire (abstract must be dated within 6 months of the posting close date).
• Must have a recent criminal record check/police information check (including vulnerable sector search) prior to the first date of hire.
• Copy of CPR card (Healthcare Provider Level) dated within one year of posting close date

• Excellent, positive interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be reliable, dependable and capable of working with a team in an environment of continuing, progressive change.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively provide and accept constructive feedback
• Ability to safeguard information as private and confidential
• Be self-motivated and can work unsupervised
