Description
Primary Duties:
Aaron Paramedical is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed ALS Supervisor for the Calgary Stampede Grounds. As a service-oriented individual you will identify and initiate requirements for the purpose of ensuring related regulatory compliance. This is a Salary based position including all aspects of the job below but not limited too
Duties Include
• Emergency Response to situations around the grounds
• Oversee all Medical Response at the Calgary Stampede Grounds year round and during the 10 day Stampede
• Assist with all aspects of Project Coordination.
• Doing scheduled monthly equipment checks
• Oversee all Medical Room Assistants (MRA’s)
• Play a main role in Stampede week
• Daily log of events, duties, organize files, reporting of stats monthly
• Make sure all units a clean and ready for work; visit and audit with onsite field medical staff.
Secondary Duties:
• Research project information / destinations, prepare Job Forms, personnel, equipment and vehicles to projects.
• Monitor all medical and general supply items
• Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles / supplies / inventory, and restock as required.
• Assist in the preparation for all special events as requested
• Assist with overall maintenance and cleanliness of the clinic and all Vehicles: i.e. washing, cleanliness of interior, refueling etc.
• Any duties deemed necessary by Management
• Field work responsibility - fill in for ALS coverage as needed
• In conjunction with Operations Manager and Dispatch; become familiar with, and participate in the sales and marketing activities.
• Attend required meetings with Calgary Stampede Representatives
• Assist / work closely with Project Coordinator in order to become skilled in the project coordination and dispatching duties for various job sites and special events.
• Protocol Reviews
• Main Contact with our Medical Directors.
Qualifications Required:
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task as this is required to work on several projects, tasks and duties within deadlines
• Must be registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics, ACP ONLY
• Alberta Class 4 Drivers license.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software and computer based training applications
• Must live in or close to Calgary
Assets:
- Proven background in medical instruction in mature settings
- Have previous experience working on vehicles
- CPR/First Aid Instructor Certified
Conditions of Employment:
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada, Registered and in Good standing with Alberta College of Paramedics
Normal working hours for this position are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, however you may be required to fill in on ALS Events outside of regular business hours if coverage is not found.
